How does valve work?
Pressure reducing valve operates on a self-acting, feedback-driven principle to maintain stable downstream pressure. 
Here's its core working process:
First, the valve is pre-set to a desired downstream pressure. When fluid (water, gas, steam, etc.) flows through, the upstream high pressure acts on the valve's internal mechanism—typically a diaphragm or piston linked to the valve plug.
As downstream pressure rises to the set value, it pushes against the diaphragm/piston, compressing the internal spring and partially closing the valve plug. This restricts flow, preventing downstream pressure from exceeding the target.
Conversely, if downstream pressure drops (e.g., due to increased demand), the spring rebounds, opening the valve plug wider to allow more fluid through, thus restoring pressure to the set level.
No external power is required— the valve adjusts automatically in response to real-time changes in downstream pressure or upstream flow. This closed-loop feedback ensures consistent, precise pressure regulation, protecting downstream equipment and maintaining system efficiency.
