A single plate check valve, also known as a wafer single plate check valve, is a type of check valve that automatically opens or closes its disc based on the flow of the medium to prevent backflow. It features a compact structure, small size, and light weight, making it widely used in various piping systems.
- Compact Structure: Adopts an ultra-thin wafer-type design without an independent valve cavity. Its volume is only 1/3 of traditional swing check valves, and weight is reduced by over 50%. Ideal for scenarios with dense pipelines and limited installation space, such as chemical plants and ship engine rooms.
- Rapid Opening & Closing: The single-plate disc features an extremely short closing stroke, enabling it to quickly seal against the seat the moment backflow occurs. Combined with an optimized flow channel design, it effectively reduces impact noise during disc closure and significantly mitigates water hammer, protecting the piping system and pump units.
- Low Flow Resistance: The full-bore flow channel design ensures unobstructed medium flow, with a flow resistance coefficient much lower than that of lift check valves. It reduces the power consumption of pump units during long-term medium transportation, cutting industrial operating costs.
- Reliable Sealing & Versatility: The valve seat can be equipped with EPDM, PTFE, NBR and other sealing materials according to medium characteristics, achieving precise sealing for water, oil, steam and weakly corrosive media. The metal hard-sealed version can withstand high temperature and pressure, meeting the needs of harsh working conditions.
In pipes and similar devices and equipment, check valves are generally used to prevent a reverse flow by allowing materials or fluids to flow in only one direction. Despite their various forms, sizes, and functions, these valves generally operate based on the same principle.
The primary components of a check valve include the Body,Body Seats,Gasket,Cover Plate,Hinge,Nuts,Washer.
