Product Description

ANSI 150# Cast Steel Flange End Gate Valves are made in accordance with various standard for low pressure application that up to 150 PSI working pressure. It is designed with a wheel shape handle and the metal to metal seat sealing characteristics. The flange end gate valve consists of a closure element, called a wedge or disc which is allowed to permit and prevent the flow of a process fluids to flow through the valve body.

For ANSI 150# series flange end gate valve, the another connection end need to be in ANSI 150# flange connection as well. The number of bolt hole is depend on the valve size. For example, for valve size that below 4", there are only 4 bolt hole on the flange. While for valve size that above 4", there are 8 bolt hole on the flange. Bolts, nuts, and gasket are required whenever there are any flange to flange connection.

A high-pressure gate valve operates manually or through automation. The basic working principle remains the same whether the valve is manual or automated: the actuator rotates the stem to start/stop flow. The valve starts when the actuator rotates clockwise for several turns. As such, the stem converts the rotary motion to linear movement.

This linear motion causes the valve disc to move upwards, leaving the valve open. With the valve open, fluid starts flowing through the valve. The valve stops flow when the actuator is rotated counterclockwise, forcing the stem and disc to move downwards. As such, the disc seals the valve's central hole where liquid flows through. At this state, the valve is closed, and there is zero fluid flow.
